Plymouth is set for an economic boost with the return of the SailGP racing event in 2022 - after it pumped £6.9m into the city economy this year.
The all-action sailing contest is returning to Plymouth Sound in July 2022, as SailGP hosts its Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Britain’s Ocean City for the second year running.
This follows a bumper event in 2021 which saw an estimated 27,500 spectators enjoying the spectacle that brought £6.9m into city coffers.
