The club held its first junior training course between April 19 and 21 and is encouraging young people to get involved in future programmes.
A total of 30 people signed up for the course and had the opportunity to use the recently installed floating pontoon to provide better access to the water for able and less able sailors.
The pontoon was funded by the Royal Yachting Association Foundation, Worcestershire Community Foundation, Bromsgrove District Council and the sailing club.
Gordon Padmore of Barnt Green Sailing Club said: “I would encourage people to sail, as it is the perfect opportunity for all to get active through sports participation, improve their mental health and well-being, learn a new skill and develop confidence in communication with others.”
The club is holding an open day on May 14 for those interested in taking up sailing.
