Exe Sailing Club is hosting a short introduction to sailing for complete beginners in July and August.
Participants on the course will experience the thrill of steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and the crucial safety measures on board.
Holders of the Start Yachting certificate can go on to complete the Competence Crew course in a reduced time of three days or two weekends.
The specific course dates on offer are from July 8 – 10 and August 5 – 7. The cost is £300 for members of the sailing club and £350 for non-members. Minimum age is 18 years-old.
The weekend residential course on a yacht will see one instructor to four students and a fantastic introduction to a sport that brings so much joy, excitement and wellbeing.
