The junk yacht Boleh will be in Portland Marina for four weeks offering the opportunity to sail on this unique vessel.
All available sessions are already booked by schools from the Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester areas.
On Saturday, June 25, the vessel will be open to the public at her berth in Portland Marina.
All are welcome to come and see this vessel designed and built in 1948 in Singapore. She was fully restored with the help of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2015.
As the result of a partnership between the Boleh Trust and the locally based Chesil Sailing Trust, Boleh has been a regular sight in local waters since her restoration and a number of young people have enjoyed the chance to sail on this extraordinary craft, designed on the lines of a junk from South-East Asia.
No prior booking is necessary for the Open Day, just come along to Portland Marina on Saturday, June 25, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
