Near gale force winds reduced the fleet to a mere half- dozen competitors for Girton Sailing Club’s club pursuit race.
This event decides the winner of the club's Anniversary Trophy.
The two best results from three races counted towards the best score and it was a family affair that ended up being the winning combination.
The father and daughter pairing of Marcus and Lily Shaw took the two first placings in extreme conditions.
They maneuvered their RS200 dinghy around the course in admirable style, leaving other racers in their wake as they went on to lift the annual trophy.
