A DISABILITY sailing charity based in Lymington is searching for a new chair after its “inspirational and energetic” leader Aly Gunn steps down after more than 20 years.
When Aly joined the group, which operates from the Royal Lymington Yacht Club in Bath Road, in early 2000, the charity only had six disabled members and six volunteers.
The mission of the group is to make sailing and power boating accessible to all, giving people with disabilities the chance to get out on the waves.
“There is so much more to do, so much more fun to be had to ensure that Lymington SailAbility continues to make sailing and power boating accessible to all, whatever their circumstances.
“The team are in place to support this – we just need a brilliant new leader to join us.”
Anyone interested in these position should contact vice-chair Tom Morton by emailing hello@lymingtonsailability.com
