You don't need a boat to discover the joy of sailing at this family-friendly Sailing Club

Papercourt Sailing Club is super friendly and inclusive - run by members for members. And its first class facilities provide a wonderful, safe environment in which to learn and sail.

"We sail on our own 45 acre lake which is easily accessible near to junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 at Ripley in Surrey," explained a spokesperson. "It has a large modern clubhouse, large car park and boasts some 1,000 members.

"You can learn to sail here on our vibrant youth programme, or our adult training programme, or enjoy our racing and cruising, which run all year round. You can join the club as a non-sailing individual or family, without owning a boat, learn to sail at a very reasonable cost, make loads of friends, and get friendly advice about which boat to buy."

Papercourt is an RYA British Youth Sailing Recognised Club, a recognised RYA Training Centre and the club was the UK’s RYA Sailing Club of the Year. It is also a Sailability Foundation Status club

It has the largest inland Optimist fleet in the UK and one of the largest Solo fleets, as well as ILCA/Laser, RS Aero, RS200, Topper, RS Feva, Wanderer, GP14 and Enterprise fleets. Plus, there's an extensive hire fleet so you do not need to own a boat to get started.

"Our boat park is secure, with easy launching to the water. Our modern clubhouse, galley, bar and training rooms can cater for more than 100 people, with great views over the lake and grounds," said the spokesperson. "We have a fun and active social programme including, BBQ’s, dinners and quiz nights."
