A 'hidden' sailing club on the Norfolk Broads is "delighted" that a £600,000 revamp of its tired and outdated old clubhouse is completed.
Norfolk Schools Sailing Association, based on Filby Broad, launched its ambitious project to raise £600,000 to revamp its facilities in 2019.
Now four years later the project has been completed.
Andy Goff, club commodore, said: "We really needed this new building. The old one was built over 50 years ago and, to say the least, had really seen better days.
"This more than half-a-million-pound investment is so exciting for our club, it is fantastic, we now have facilities which can enhance our teaching and give students space to change.
"It is going to be so good for the kids, it looks amazing and ahead of a busy summer, put us in a marvellous position to cope better with the huge volume of guests.
"This new funding will keep us going. Before it was so difficult for young people to change. Our more modern set-up has put the club in a really good position to prosper."
