Manningtree Regatta 2023

 

The Manningtree Town Regatta took place earlier this month, much to the delight of boat fans in the area. 

Despite mixed weather this year, especially the torrential rain which lasted throughout Saturday, the sail racing and gig race managed to go ahead.

A few people also had a go at gig rowing before evening weather cleared enough for the regatta firework display to go ahead as planned.

Caroline Cunningham, rear commodore at Stour Sailing Club, said: “On Sunday morning the weather was dry and sometimes sunny, although windy.
