Peter and John Rose sailed their Scorpion in the Class Championships at Eastbourne last week.

Fifty seven boats took part including seven former Class Champions and four National Champions from other classes.

Ten races over four days were sailed in fresh to strong SW winds and 2 to 3 knot tides. Peter and John finished 18th overall, even ater a couple of spills, and 3rd in the veterans category. Previous winners in 2018 in Tenby, Alan Krailing and Simon Forbes were victorious again.

The Eastbourne Beach team ensured everyone came ashore safely in the daunting swell on the steep shingle beach. The varied evening entertainment completed a most enjoyable week for crews and families.

Back home the weather was the only winner over the weekend!

Tenby Saing Club will be hosting the AERO National Championships next week.
