A group of sailors are invited people to have a go after a successful open day on the waters.
Ouse Amateur Sailing Club pushed through a rainy morning into a sunnier afternoon as they let visitors try their hand at the sport.
Families were shown around the site at Saddlebow and were able to see the variety of boats on the water as well as paddle boards and a Canadian Canoe.
The event was part of the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA’s) campaign Discover Sailing, which is held annually, giving resources and support to clubs wanting to run open days or taster sessions.
Robbie Bell, regional manager for the East, said: “The varied waterways of the East, from the coast to rivers, lakes and Broads, mean that there is something for everyone.
“Over the last few years we have seen the benefits for both physical and mental health that being active and outside in the fresh air can bring, and getting on the water is a great way to do this.
“Sailing is also very social and a brilliant way to meet new people while learning a new skill.”
As well as at Ouse Amateur Sailing Club, sessions are offered at Snettisham Beach Sailing Club, Hunstanton Sailing Club and Watersports Centre, Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club, Overy Staithe Sailing Club and more.
