After a competitive 2024 RC35 race season, the season championship will take a pause for 2025.
During 2025 some regular class members have opted to represent the RC35 class in events further afield.
A number will be targeting the UK IRC Championship in Cowes, the legendary Fastnet Race and several Irish events, including the biggest the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta in Dublin Bay in July.. After many years of competitive racing, meticulous boat preparation, and training, the class members hope for a good showing at these events.
The owners will, however, still be supporting the 50th running of the Scottish Series in 2025, which will include the Scottish IRC Championships, as well as the other IRC events in Scotland, such as Kip Regatta, Largs Regatta Festival, and The North Clyde Regatta, were possible.
It is expected that the well-attended RC35 circuit will then be re-established for the 2026 season with a number of new boats and owners showing interest to join the highly competitive and fun racing.
