An open day today will help peple discover more about the Children's Sailing Trust's new initiative to aid people with disabilities in accessing water activities.
CST Sailability, supported by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), is seeking volunteers for their funded scheme, which operates from Trevassack Lake near Mawgan on the Lizard Peninsula.
The trust is looking for people with a range of skills, including sailing, paddling, powerboat operation, administrative expertise, and experience working with people with disabilities.
The initiative provides two main volunteering opportunities: Saturday Sailability and SEND School Sailing.
Saturday Sailability aims to help people of all ages with additional needs enjoy water activities, fostering a supportive community.
The SEND School Sailing sessions take place during term time, on weekday mornings, where volunteers provide extra support for youngsters on the water.
The trust said: "This funded scheme relies on volunteers to run so if you have an interest in volunteering, both on and off the water, come along to our open day at our Trevassack Lake HQ."
