Get out on the water with sailing lessons at Largs Sailing Club (LSC) and sister organisation the Largs Sail Training Association.
The club are a Royal Yachting Association recognised training organisation, and offer fun and interesting courses that can spark an interest in the sea.
Learn to capture the wind, and experience the freedom of the sea. Courses are offered from ages 8 and up, starting just after Easter and running through the summer.
There are adult training sessions on Tuesday evenings, from 6:15pm until after 9pm.
New sailors can enrol for the first six weeks, when there will be the option to continue for the rest of the season by joining the club, at a discounted rate.
The junior evenings on Mondays and Thursdays have seen a lot of interest and the first block of sessions is fully subscribed, however there are still spaces during the school summer holidays.
For anyone looking for something for their kids to do during the day in the summer, there are five fun sailing weeks during the holidays. No experience necessary.
All that participants need to bring is a sense of fun and swimwear, towel, water bottle, weather appropriate clothing, and soft shoes with closed toes to wear on the water.
The club have wetsuits and buoyancy aids which can be borrowed during your course.
