Aquavista has announced the acquisition of Clyde Marina in Ardrossan, Scotland, expanding its marina portfolio and marking the UK operator’s entry into the Scottish market.
Located on the North Ayrshire coast, around 48 kilometres from Glasgow, Clyde Marina can accommodate yachts measuring up to 30-metres in length and forms part of Scotland’s west coast cruising network. It now joins Aquavista’s portfolio of 34 inland and coastal marinas across the UK.
The acquisition also incorporates Sunbird International Yacht Sales, which is headquartered at the marina, into the Aquavista Group, further expanding its presence in the coastal marine tourism sector.
According to Aquavista, Clyde Marina features large boatyard facilities and provides access to Scotland’s west coast cruising grounds and islands. Moreover, the marina joins its coastal network alongside Glasson, Hull, Birdham Pool and Royal Clarence, which collectively extend across the north, east, south and west of Britain.
The acquisition will also give Clyde Marina customers access to Aquavista’s wider network of marinas, alongside benefits including Explore 100 and Marina Swap, allowing boaters to use facilities across the group.
