YOUTH sailing charity is appealing for help to support young people on life-changing sailing adventures.
Ocean Youth Trust Scotland (OYT Scotland) is calling on the public and businesses to donate equipment such as large holdalls and sleeping bags.
The charity is currently in need of 10 new or nearly-new sports holdalls or rucksacks—up to 80 litres in size and without a metal frame—as well as 10 sleeping bags suitable for two to three seasons.
OYT Scotland offers sail training voyages to young people, many of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds and may not have access to the right gear.
OYT Scotland said: "We want to keep our voyages affordable and accessible for everyone.
"Having a supply of spare kit helps us make sure that no young person misses out on the opportunity to sail with us because they don't have the right equipment."
The charity is asking individuals and businesses to consider donating the items to help ensure no young person is excluded.
Those able to help are encouraged to contact OYT Scotland by calling 01475 722722 or emailing office@oytscotland.org.uk.
