ROYAL Gourock Yacht Club are running a series of classes to help local people hone their sailing skills.

 The group are running a winter programme of free sailing theory classes, taking place every second Friday between 7-9pm at the clubhouse.

The classes are open to adult sailors of all skill levels and will lead into hands-on sailing starting in May, with four free sailing sessions included in the programme.

Classes get under way kick off on November 11.
