Third Etchells race held at Royal Gourock

  

10 boats were out for the third race in the Secondary Points Series for the Etchells at Royal Gourock Yacht Club.

It took place on what was a stunning evening with a nice north westerly breeze of 8 to 15 knots.

First leg was a long beat to Strone, the boats staying very close together, the right hand side eventually paying off near the top.

Bullet was first round followed by Reflektor and Lock n Load with Spinnakers up and back to McLeods, Bullet and Reflektor holding their places and Eccentric moving to third.

Lock n Load got back past Eccentric on what turned out to be the short beat to the finish, the race officer deciding that the breeze wouldn’t hold to allow another round.

Final result: Bullet, Reflektor, Lock n Load.
