Seldén SailJuice Winter Series: Good entries for post-Xmas events

A good number of boats have signed up already for the next events in the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series, the Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey and the Gill Grafham Grand Prix...

Two events done and the next two events of the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series are coming up soon after Christmas.

The first is the Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey on 27 December, and the entry deadline closes at the end of Friday 22 December. Already there are 60 entries representing 26 different classes.

Soon after it's the Gill Grafham Grand Prix on 30 December, and a good number of entries signed up in advance.

Here's a round-up of the results and standings so far after Round 2 at Datchet Water.

24 boats have competed in both of the first two events, and seven different classes are represented in the Top Ten. With two event wins, Musto Skiff sailor Sam Pascoe easily leads the overall rankings. Fellow Castle Cove member, Ed Presley (Contender), moves up two places to second overall, and 2022/23 Series runner-up Ben Flower (ILCA 7 - Paignton), up two places to third overall.

41 different classes were competing in the Datchet Flyer, and 13 had three or more entries. The Musto Skiffs again dominated, with the 420s second and a strong Contender fleet third. Overall, there are now 47 classes that have achieved rankings, Musto Skiffs still top the leaderboard, with 420s moving up two places to second, and the ILCA 7s hold onto the final podium place. These rankings are based on the best three results for each class across every race.
