The Staunton Blaster is almost here... part two of the East Midlands Mini-Series


 

One lucky travelling boat will win an amazing prize*


Once again we're offering 2024 Staunton Harold Sailing Club membership to the highest placed non Staunton boat* at the Staunton Blaster. This fantastic prize is open to travelling sailors - double or single handers, adults or juniors. Please note that all 2024 Staunton Harold Sailing Club Open Events are free to 2024 Staunton Harold Sailing Club members, so the winner(s) can enjoy a host of club sailing series, cups and Open events. Please see full terms and conditions for this special prize at the club on race day.


On the day - 10th/11th February


Subject to conditions there will be five races over two days. Racing will be handicap racing (PY 912/900 and above) average lap and a pursuit race.. Galley will be available on both days with a range of snacks, refreshments and some hot food.


The briefing will be held at 10:45 a.m. on the Saturday, with racing to follow. 


Free entry to paid up club members of participating clubs, small fee for travelling sailors


Note that all 2024 paid up members of the participating clubs (Burton SC, Notts County SC, Ogston SC and Staunton Harold SC) will enjoy free entry to this event. Other travelling sailors can enjoy the weekend for £30 for double handers or £15 for Single Handers (Juniors 1/2 price). 


So far in the East Midlands Mini-Series...


The Staunton Blaster is the second of four weekends of sailing in the East Midlands Mini- Series. Already sailed - The "Notts County Cooler" was won by Notts County Sailor, Sam Grayton (ILCA 6), Staunton's Craig Williamson (Aero 7) came 2nd, Notts County's Jamie Mawson (RS600) third and Notts County/ Staunton's Chris Martin /John Tailby (Merlin) came fourth. Over 15 different classes of boat, and more than 40 boats took part. 

Fingers crossed for some great sailing weather at the Staunton Blaster and we look forward to welcoming you!
