The countdown is on for the Royal Thames Yacht Club's 250th Anniversary Regatta, taking place this June. With less than a month to go, anticipation is building fast with over 180 entries already received and expected to surpass 200 boats in the coming weeks.
Founded in 1775, the Royal Thames Yacht Club (RTYC) is one of the world's oldest yacht clubs, and this year's Regatta will celebrate this milestone both on and off the water.
In addition to the racing, the event will feature a Regatta Village open throughout the Regatta, offering a social hub with food and drink vendors and entertainment for sailors and spectators.
Saturday 14th June will be one night of celebration with two incredible events:
Celebration Dinner - A Nyetimber reception and three-course meal with wine.
Crew Party - Dark 'n' Stormies for all and street food vendors available
Later in the evening, both events will unite for a celebration featuring a live band, fireworks display, and a DJ set from Olympic sailor DJ Mark Covell.
As part of RTYC's commitment to environmental sustainability, the 250th Regatta is looking to achieve Platinum Level accreditation from Sailors for the Sea.
