Pupils from St Francis Xavier College enjoyed a successful seven-day sail around the Irish Sea. The year 10 students represented Liverpool on the 'Three Cities Voyage', and they got to learn lots of new skills which will stand them in good stead for the future.
The trip was a celebration of sail training and maritime industries and it was organised in collaboration between Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Adventure Sailing Trust (MAST) and Sail Training Ireland.
The students had a great experience, enabling them to increase knowledge of different careers in the maritime industries.
Mr Jim Graves B.E.M., Chair of Merseyside Adventure Sailing Trust (MAST) was delighted with the pupils who represented Liverpool and he said: "These nine students worked together with other young people from all around Ireland to increase their knowledge and skills of sail training, develop communication skills, team building and increase resilience.”
